The location of the retreat is Shepherds Dene, an outstanding example of the ‘arts and crafts’ style of architecture.  The house has been refurbished in the last few years, and provides all the home comforts you would expect of country house living.  The original owners of the house hoped that “those who come to Shepherds Dene for knowledge will find it and those who come for rest  will go away refreshed”.

This course will equip you to work with the Saints stories from Volume 7 as well as going deeper into thinking about childhood spirituality. It is for people who have completed the 3 day core training or who have had significant experience of Godly Play with children.

There will also be time and space for personal reflection and an extensive variety of creative response materials will be available. A  spiritual director will be available for people who wish to have individual spiritual accompaniment.

outside Coughton LodgeCost: £165 residential / £100 non residential – Residential fee includes a double room with ensuite shower room for 2 nights full board / Non residential fee includes all meals. If a couple is sharing a double room (with a double bed) then the second person’s fee is reduced to £100.

There are plenty of lovely spaces – inside and outside – in which to relax.
